Travel data recording and SIL safety function

Two requirements must be met in a modern Light Rail network:

  • travel data recording which enables the reconstruction of events, thus providing the basis for vehicle fleet optimisation
  • the safety function according to CENELEC-SIL definition in which vehicle and passenger safety has utmost priority

SIL 4 with safe+ module

The multifunctional recorder DEUTA REDBOXflex safe+ combines both functions in a compact housing and has already been approved for integration up to SIL 4:

  • recording: on a 2 GB flash card
  • safety: integrated in safe+ module
